Pastor- Mike Butler
Pastor Mike Butler moved to Alaska in 2001 and has served in full-time ministry on the Kenai Peninsula for over 17 years as a youth and worship Pastor. He and Rose were married in 2013 and served together in youth and worship ministry in Kenai for 7 years. After a few years out of state, they felt the call to move to Anchor Point, and began their ministry at Great Land Church in October 2023. They have a blended family of 5 children: their eldest son serving in the United States Marine Corp, eldest daughter successfully navigating being a new adult, one daughter homeschooling her senior year and the youngest two attending Chapman Elementary. Pastor Mike and Rose love Alaska, leading worship, spending time in the community and calling Anchor Point their home.
Kids Church Administrator- Rachel Bice
Rachel was born and raised in Anchor Point and has been serving in children’s ministry since 2006. She has a deep love for God’s Word and a passion for sharing the love of Jesus through fun, hands-on experiences that help kids grow in their faith. Rachel is also learning to parent from the Father’s heart and cherishes the journey with her family. She and her husband, Clint, recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary, and together with their children, they joyfully serve in many areas of the church, including the worship team.
We are so grateful for the hearts that serve our church family! From welcoming guests at the doors, leading and assisting in children’s ministry, supporting our worship and media teams, serving in the kitchen, to guiding our board — every volunteer plays a vital role in making our church a place of love, faith, and community.
